The latest official post visible at the 2026-08-26 check is Patch 1.0.9. It added Easy and Hard difficulty settings, a Steam connection diagnostic and further save-related fixes.
Patch 1.0.9
The update added difficulty changes in the main menu and in game. Easy reduces creature health and damage; Hard increases both. It also added a Steam relay diagnostic and another attempt to fix corrupted saves.
Restart Steam after an update and use the official community support route if the Steam relay indicator turns red or a save still fails.
Changes that affect guides
Patch 1.0.4 expanded lobby support to eight players, nerfed Pufferfish and Whale and changed route visibility. Patch 1.0.5 closed an unintended island-unlock shortcut. Patch 1.0.6 changed save behavior around crashes and explicit save or quit actions.
These changes are why boss, multiplayer, achievement and speedrun pages must keep a visible check date.
